TBi Industries had a very successful show in Shanghai. On 145 square meters, high quality products "Made in Germany" have been presented. Multiple large orders have already been successfully closed.

As a successor to the TBi TD 20/22, the new TBi 20F / 22F is recommended for all applications. This torch is equipped with a flattened nozzle to provide best accessibility. Long life time and simple maintenance are perfect features for continuous use in demanding industrial applications.

The TBi RM2 robot torch series includes standard and special torch types right out of the catalog and covers a large sector of applications. The torches are equipped with a new type of nozzle that guarantees very efficient heat transfer to the torch.

Based on the high number of interesting contacts, this years trade show in Essen has exceeded all our expectations. Our 40 new products on display were exciting to the visitors, highly qualified welding professionals from around the world, and were also a profound indication of the innovative potential of the company. The focus of development was clearly on equipment for automation and robotic applications, but also the handheld torches provided significant improvements.

As expected, the highlights of the show were the endlessly rotatable torch system TBi Infiniturn, the TBi RoboMIG robot welding torches with a 1-year TCP warranty and the completely new developed RoboTIG torch system with integrated cold wire guide.

With the models TD 20 and TD 22, TBi presents a straight, respectively 22° bent Tandem torch for currents up to 2x 550 A and wire diameters up to 3.2 mm. Following the well proven TBi design philosophy, the torches are collision resistant with a very good TCP stability. Cost effective consumable parts allow for efficient industrial use.

In combination with the torch cleaning station TBi JetStream, stable and reliable welding properties can be obtained without the need for manual interaction.

The innovative torch cleaning station TBi JetStream brings a completely new approach to fully automatic torch cleaning into the production environment. The torch head is thoroughly cleaned on the inside and outside by air-propelled abrasive pellets. One main advantage of this process is that it is completely independent from nozzle geometry. Gasnozzle, contact tip, tip holder and gas diffusor will be cleaned without large forces on the torch. The periodic manual cleaning process, which is customary today, becomes obsolete and the productivity of the robot cell is raised.

The oily residue found on the floor and machinery all around common spraying units create significant hidden costs. A substantial amount of anti spatter fluid may be carried into the fume extraction system und filters. Also the removal of the residue with adherent dust particles is very time consuming, not mentioning the rather dirty appearance of such an area.

TBi solves this problem with a fully enclosed spraying system, which is capable of applying only the minimum amount of anti spatter fluid on the torch head. Formation of droplets on the torch, which might later lead to faulty welds, is effectively prevented.

The newly developed TBi SR 21 looks very similar to the well known TBi SR 20, also the same consumable parts are used. The rated welding current, however, has been increased by 50% compared to the SR 20. That way, the small SR 21 obtains the same rating as the much larger SR 18!

The robot welding torch system TBi Infiniturn has been specifically developped for modern hollow wrist robots. The cable assembly follows the shortest and straightest path to the wire feeder, right through the middle of the robots wrist and arm. The heart of the new system is the new TBi Infiniturn media coupling, which allows for endless rotation of the torch. The system continues to use the well proven TBi RoboMIG torches.

After conducting extensive tests, 2 completely reengineered versions of water-power cables have been approved for mass production. With this effort, TBi clearly points out the high quality standard set for the TBi branded torches. The welder is offered a robust and at the same time very flexible and ergonomical tool.

The new cables can be easily recognized by the blue outer hose of the 2-C version (standard) or the highly flexible silicone hose with black braiding of the Heavy-Duty version.

For many years, our RoboMIG torches have been withstanding the test of time in highly-demanding industrial tasks. Due to their outstanding design of solid stainless steel, they resist collisions and temperature changes. Being adjusted ex works in the range of hundredths of millimeters, the TCP (Tool Center Point) of the torch remains extremely constant - even after a long time of use. In contrast to competitor's products, no adjustment tools will be necessary.

The product line of plasma cutting torches has been completely renewed. Today, TBi offers 12 modern and powerful torches, including a water cooled model for up to 250 A and a range of machine torches.

At the beginning of November 2008, we happily moved into our new sales and logistics facility in Fernwald. On an area of more than 6000 qm, we enjoy expanded storage space, an optimized infrastructure and room for the further growth of the company, after the old building had been filled to capacity. The new building is in the direct vicinity of our previous site, where production and administration remain located.
